Needed a scale promptly and the EatSmart one looked like a fit. The reviews were very positive and instructional. Received the scale promptly and well packed. Made sure I use the scale on a hard floor surface. The results have been very dependable and register well with hospital beam scales. The blue display is easy to read and the step-on feature is nice after using a lot of tap-on digital scales in the past. Only had it for a month, but excellent value so far.

I've had this scale for almost a couple of weeks, and so far I really like it. It appears to be much more consistent and accurate than the dial scale I had previously. I like that it's slim, compact and easy to clean. The large, lighted number is very easy to see. Batteries easy to install. No complaints.

As all the other reviewers said, this is a great product. I'm very satisfied with it overall:
Pros:
small, thin profile, lightweight for easy storage
large backlit display is easy to read in the dark and without glasses
consistent readings
simple, not a ton of buttons or settings, was ready out of the box
Cons:
must be set on a hard surface (not carpet)
not as "pretty" as the glass ones, but you don't have to clean off the smudges either!

I received this scale as a Christmas gift in Dec. 2009, and it is something I utilize daily. Just this week, it seemed to be acting "funny", not working as it should.I changed the batteries, which did not solve the problem, and then I called the company to see if there was some resetting or adjusting that I could do to remove the glitch. After having the representative walk me through some steps, he declared that the unit may be faulty. Without hesitation, he said he would send out a new unit. Not only did he send out a new unit, but it arrived at my home within 24 hours of my phone call. I would recommend this company enthusiastically, knowing that there will be no "hassles" if there is a problem
